Valentine's Idea no. 33: Don't Lose Sight of What It's All About...

While you're running around planning for Valentine's Day, take a bit of time to chill and think about what the day's really all about, about the person you're doing this all for, and about how you feel about him/her.

The prezzies are cool, can be highly thoughtful and meaningful, but it's the relationship, the connection you have with this person that's the most important thing.

So buy the gifts... but don't lose sight of what really matters, yah?

Ok. Cool.

Valentine's Idea no. 32: Go Salsa Dancing...

I tell ya, there's nothing like salsa dancing to work up an appetite!

So grab your date and go sweat your funk on, ya hear?!

(p.s.: listen, don't worry about the sweat - you can deal with that later. Just stay focused on grooving your little hearts out!)

Valentine's Idea no. 31: Learn Pole dancing Together...

Why?

Why not?

You can hire a pole dancing instructor to give the both of you private lessons.

Go on. It'll be fun!

So what if you come back with aching muscles? It just gives you both an excuse to break open the massage oils and make each other feel better!

Valentine's Idea no. 30: Get a Tattoo Done for Him/Her...

BUY: The Mammoth Book of Tattoos
on Amazon

It's your call, of course. You've got to be real crazy about him/her to get a tattoo done for them, PLUS there's the pain factor, but, hey, there's a Valentine's Day idea for ya!

You could both get it done together!, that way you both get to cry through the pain together

...and kiss each other better too :-)

Valentine's Idea no. 29: Cook a Valentine's Meal Together...

Cooking together is a way of bonding, talking, sharing, getting to know each other.

Cook something simple so you both have a chance to talk in-between without having to concentrate too too much on what you're cooking.

You could also have a bit of music playing in the background, but keep it low so it doesn't drown out the convo.

Bon appetit!

Valentine's Idea no. 28: Be a 'Love Note' Freak!

All you need for this is a wad of post-it notes, your heart and your imagination.

- Grab a sizable wad of post-it notes

- Scribble little sweet nothings for that special someone on each one (words, doodles, whatever.)

- then stick them up at various places throughout the house while they're away (put some in obvious places, and others in less prominent places so they find it over the course of a week or so).

And there you have it, a real sweet gesture for them to come back to :-)

Valentine's Idea no. 27: Create a Romantic Page Online Dedicated to Him/Her...

Why not? It's kinda sweet.

So you're basically creating an online visual/textual collage for/about them - one page that sums up how you feel about him/her.

And when you're done creating it, send them the link. I'm sure you can think of creative ways of getting them to see the page!
